VANS
PARK UP - BE HAPPY

PARK UP, PITCH UP
At the top of our long meadow (the home to our tree planting project) we have a standalone area for small, self sustaining campervans at Big Sky.
Our van pitches are pretty basic, just off-grid grass sites for vans and vehicles with roof tents. The van sites don't have electric hook-up, toilet pump-out or dedicated water points fill-up (although you can fill up smaller containers at our camping tap).

No long or tall vehicles
We're afraid because of a tight access track with overhanging trees we can't accommodate vans longer than 5 metres, taller than 2 metres 10cm, or caravans. Even if your caravan is small it still needs to be towed, and the turning circle into our campervan meadow is too tight. Do check with us on the length and height of your vehicle and if you decide to come after chatting with us, you drive along the track at your own risk.
Staying in your van is the same price as camping, £10 per adult per night (£15 over school and bank holidays), with one child free per adult (£5 per child after that). If you're after a nice, peaceful spot to park up, you're in luck!

There is a compost loo at the campervan meadow and the nearet water supply is accessible on foot, in the nearby camping meadow. If you have your own toilet in your van please take all waste away with you - we ask kindly that you don't empty any other toilet into our composting loos.

UPDATE - 18 JUNE 2023
Our van pitches are in what is currently our tree planting meadow - so there are hundreds of plastic tubes in the meadow - these each create a lovely little eco system for our newly planted saplings and protect them from animals.
We're very conscious that parking up in a field of plastic tubes may not be what you're looking for, although some people love that they're hanging out in what will one day be a woodland. (See pictures above for what the field looks like)
As an alternative we have one other area on site where vans can park - but only if that area hasn't already been rented out. Drop us a line if you're interested, knowing you want to come will make our van pitches more of a priority :)

We should also say that because our pitches are grass if the weather has been overly wet we may well find you a spot elsewhere on site, just to make sure you don't get stuck!

Please note: while we love animals we can't allow pets on site as they stress our alpacas out.

We'll do everything we can to make your stay at Big Sky as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We love surprising our guests and making your stay unique so if you have any ideas we might be able to help with don't hesitate to ask :)
