The Hobbit Hole
SLEEPS 1

A PRECIOUS HIDEAWAY
Nestled into a woodland hollow, the Hobbit Hole is a simple abode for one person seeking a simple escape into nature.
Save yourself the effort of lugging camping gear and just bring food, a smile and plans to put into action by your own private firepit.

The Hobbit Hole is a cosy pod for just one person, with a full-size single bed and a little room to put your shoes (hobbit feet accepted) and bags.

Just outside is a little garden mown into longer grass, with a camping chair and a firepit. We provide a little paving slab mined from the depths of Mordor for you to rest a camping stove on.
If you'd like to holiday with friends the Hobbit Hole is a ring's throw from our camping meadow or other glamping accommodation, so they can pitch up nearby and you can enjoy a fire together.

Hire of the Hobbit Hole includes:
-
Comfy accommodation for 1
-
We provide bedsheets, mattresses and toppers but ask guests to bring their own pillows, duvets (or sleeping bags), and covers
-
Seating for one
-
Private firepit (we sell firewood on site)
-
40l cool box hire (complete with frozen ice packs) is £5 per day, if you'd like to keep food chilled
-
Fresh water and eco loo nearby

The bit where we're honest!:

If you're over 6 foot 2 or struggle with flexibility, you might struggle to enjoy entering and exiting the Hobbit Hole. The door was designed for Hobbits, and we recommend a little yoga before ducking in and out!
While we love animals we can't allow pets on site as they stress our alpacas out.

PS. If you're not a fan of bugs, flies, spiders, fresh air, the distant sound of tractors or cows or anything much to do with being outside in the countryside, our site may not be your ideal getaway!

We'll do everything we can to make your stay at Big Sky as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We love surprising our guests and making your stay unique so if you have any ideas we might be able to help with don't hesitate to ask :)

COOL FACT
The Hobbit Hole first visited Big Sky as part of a teardrop caravan weekend in March 2023. We got to know the owner Harry, who is a talented carpenter (you can see some of his handiwork including amazing stargazer chairs in our shop) and loves dressing up as a hobbit.
Before that first weekend was out Harry offered up the Hobbit Hole as accommodation at Big Sky for the summer months, and there you have it!
